we have tapers in four different colors and two textures, these work wonderfully inside little shelves, on window sills or in a bathroom....they require 2 AA batteries which will last up to two weeks if they are left on continually.
Our pillar battery candles continue to fly out the door, we have had them in all colors and all sizes which is a great asset in design...use more than one in an arrangement or in a simple compote like this with yummy smelling potpourri. These too take 2 AA batteries. We suggest that you invest in some rechargeable batteries so that you always have some on hand.Thursday, August 7, 2008

No we haven't made the front pages yet, but we are going to be on the radio!! The River (102.3 on your dial) is doing a great promotion at the center that we wanted to be a part of and I am sure you will want to too. Here are the details:
The River 102.3 is doing one of our BIGGEST community drives this August 15th at SPM - Backpack Drive to help foster care kids have the necessities for school!!! We can't do this ourselves, so we want you to be involved to help touch these kids lives, it will take place during 6am-7pm on August 15th. This event enables the community to help better the lives of foster care children and thier families. Also happening during the backpack drive will be live music, local acts, giveaways, meet the DJs... full day of fun!!! More details at http://www.shopsouthparkmeadows.com/
Come be a part of this great fund raiser and bring the kids!! The playground is open and the water feature on full blast. Many of the restaurants will have snacks and treats available, fun for the whole family. We have donated some gift items and gift certificates as have the other merchants, so come help us raise some money for these deserving kids.

Those of you who have shopped with us in the past know how I love these trays. They are so user friendly. I have one at home on my main dining table that I use for every season. You can put a candle globe and fruit like we have here in them, or a garland and Santa in the center, pumpkins and gourds in the fall, the list is endless. One Christmas season I used my granny's Santa and sleigh and surrounded it with old glass ornaments. My favorite thing about them is that you can create a wonderful center piece and all you have to do is pick up the tray to clear the table for use. Wala no hassle and no redoing!! We have these trays in two sizes the long rectangular one shown here and a new wonderful square one that is perfect for coffee tables. Come see!!
